For my thesis research on working with individuals and their intersectionality in wellness and healthcare spaces, Beyond the Binary, I have partnered with Ana Sofia Calixto at Technorituals from Brazil. She is an artist, researcher and creative technologist with a practice that sits at the intersection of immersive audiovisual environments, physiological data, sensory research and contemporary ritual. She creates visual worlds designed to influence atmosphere, emotional tone and embodied experience. I am excited to work with her because we both see wellness and healthcare spaces as more accessible to all. Currently, I work with individuals with neuro-expansive minds such as (diagnosed and not diagnosed) AuDHD, Autism, ADHD, Asperger, Dyslexia and anxiety disorder to help with their practise in regulating their nervous system using sound healing, conscious connected breathwork, yoga nidra or meditation. I will expand the group to other marginalised individuals who are affected daily by systems of oppression such as capitalism and patriarchy. Get in touch for 1:1 sound healing therapy, group sound baths, 1:1 and group conscious connected breathwork. Our immersive sensory experiences are designed to support your nervous system and to liberate you.

Episode 8 of The Inspire Breathwork Podcast.
What does it really mean to integrate, not as a concept, but as a lived, daily, sometimes failing act of bringing your whole self back into contact with your life?
In this episode, Suks sits down with Ambar Surastri, a sound healing practitioner, trainee psychosynthesis counsellor, and second-year student at Inspire Breathwork, for a conversation that moves through some of the most important questions in healing work today. They explore what agency really means in a breathwork space, why language matters more than we think, how capitalism is quietly dismantling the third spaces our communities need, and what it looks like to hold transformation and ordinary life in the same hands at the same time. Warm, wide-ranging, and full of the kind of honesty (and laughs) that only comes from two people willing to go there together.

The 1:1 sound healing sessions were a beautiful way to reconnect with my body, step away from daily stress, and create space to focus on myself and what I truly need.

I've struggled with anxiety and a constantly busy mind for as long as I can remember and finding ways to switch off has always been a challenge. For the first time in my life, I was able to truly enter a meditative state and experience deep relaxation, something that normally feels completely out of reach.
— Louise, senior manager North London. Followed a 5-week trajectory.

Ambar's sessions are not about a quick fix; they're about teaching you a fundamental skill: how to listen to your body. Through guided breathwork and the powerful resonance of sound, you'll learn to move past mental chatter and into a state of deep, internal awareness.
— Kumayl, business owner East London. Followed a 5-week trajectory.
My story
City life is overwhelming. If you're running on empty, struggling to sleep, or feeling disconnected from yourself, you're most likely overstimulated. I'm Ambar, a certified sound therapist and breathworker here to support you.
Six years ago, I processed a breast cancer diagnosis during the pandemic, whilst moving to London from Amsterdam and needed to be more present than ever. My meditation practice became a lifestyle. Sound healing opened my heart, and since then, reclaimed my body and breath.
Over the last 12 years, I went through a journey of healing, discovery and capacity building, questioning my relationship to ancestry, love, pain, grief, loss, work, the existential and myself.
Today, I’m an urban medicine woman who uses sound, stillness and breath to help you liberate in a world of constant change. Reminding you to reconnect and reflect on hidden parts of yourself whilst you navigate city life.
My 1:1 and group practice are rooted in creative imagination, radical love, trauma informed care, decolonial healing and embodied social justice, connecting you with yourself and others. Let’s co-create.
